Blome Fairy Oak
The Fairy Oak is located 1.3 km from the centre of Blome, along the V232 road. The oak is not large, but with its fairy-tale appearance, it greets every traveller.
Legends
According to local legend, when the road from Blome to Cēsis was being built, the chairman of the collective farm “Uzvara” forbade the oak from being cut down. It is believed that the oak’s five branches symbolised the unification of five small collective farms into a single large collective farm named “Uzvara” (meaning “Victory”). Since then, the Fairy Oak has become a symbol of Blome and has been preserved to this day.
