Open-Air Stage and Recreation Area “Jeberleja”
The Jeberleja open-air stage was built in the second half of the 20th century, originally as an old threshing barn. The stage and its surroundings have hosted many diverse cultural, sporting, and leisure events—open-air balls, theater performances, various holiday celebrations, sports games, volleyball tournaments, and more. Local legend has it that it was once one of the most acoustic stages in Vidzeme. Currently, the stage building itself is in critical condition and is not in use. The stage building once housed a small sauna, from which you could jump straight into the lake.
