This route circles Lake Niedrājs and its six little brothers – small bog lakes. Along the way, hikers can explore Niedrītis, Salainis, Mellūzis, Bezdibenis, and Bezvārdis, and relax at the picnic area by Lake Zummers. All lakes are interconnected by canals that help maintain equal water levels. In several places, the route crosses these canals, so be prepared to walk over narrow footbridges, logs, or step across water. Several well-equipped picnic and swimming areas are available along Lake Niedrājs, perfect for rest breaks and swimming.

For information:

• The route mostly follows narrow paths and partly forest roads, making it unsuitable for strollers and bicycles.
• Waterproof footwear is recommended. While no marsh crossing is required, the forest around the lakes can be damp.
• Expect narrow and slippery footbridges and the need to step across small ditches.
