Cheese and Pasta Factory

The cheese and pasta factory is a family-run business, and the only place in the Baltics where Green Cheese is produced using self-grown cheese clover (Fenugreek).

Offer

  • An introduction to the story of the factory, tasting of four types of cheeses: Rauna Green Cheese, cheese with porcini mushrooms, cheese with herbs, and garlic cheese “Ķiplociņš”, as well as healthy ghee butter and a spicy curd snack named “knapsieriņš”. During the tour (approx. 1 h), visitors will have the opportunity to learn how 20 types of pasta are handcrafted using real farm eggs – flavoured with porcini mushrooms, hemp, garlic, cheese clover, herbs, dried tomatoes, jalapeño peppers, and more. To revive more traditional flavours, guests are treated to “knapsieriņš” with various spice levels – a tasty and healthy cottage cheese snack traditionally enjoyed with beer or other drinks. Tours and tastings are available for groups of 10–60 people.
  • After the tour, visitors can purchase aromatic cheeses, flavoured butter, homemade pasta, and noodles to take home.
  • Self-service shop. At any time, without prior booking, upon arrival at the factory, visitors can purchase all products (cheese, pasta, butter) at the best producer prices.
