Green Railway Ieriķi – Jaunpiebalga, Drusti Station
The Ieriķi – Jaunpiebalga route is 56 km long. Although only 5 km of this route runs through Smiltene Municipality, this section includes the stop “Drusti Station”.
About Drusti Station
- Drusti Station was established during World War I and has been known as “Drusti” since 1918.
- 1924. In 1924, a 15 km private 600 mm narrow-gauge branch line was built from the station to transport timber to the Kaldava sawmill. The line was dismantled in 1938.
- 1933. A new station building was constructed in 1933, but it was destroyed during World War II.
- After the war, station staff rooms and the waiting area were arranged in the original station building.
- The station was closed in 1999, and the tracks were removed in 2009.
- An information board with a map, historical descriptions, and photographs is installed at Drusti Station.

- The route and its connecting sections are marked in nature using railway sleepers.
- Information boards along the route provide insights into railway history and nearby points of interest; well-equipped rest areas are also available.
