The family farm “Mežnoras” in Rauna was established in 1993. The owners, Aivars and Ārija Urbasti, currently grow 1.6 hectares of summer and autumn raspberries, as well as strawberries in open fields and covered areas, including a greenhouse.

• From berries grown on the farm (blackcurrants, redcurrants, cherries, strawberries, etc.), the owner produces homemade wine and offers wine tastings to visitors. As the owner says: “Mežnoras wine truly begins in Mežnoras. It is born not in barrels, but in our strawberry and raspberry fields, and these deep roots leave their marks on the taste as well.”
• Strawberries from “Mežnoras” are usually available from mid-May to mid-October. The farm grows summer raspberries ‘Norna’, autumn raspberries ‘Babje Leto’ and ‘Polana’, and the popular strawberry variety ‘Polka’.
• Farm produce is available on-site in Rauna, as well as at the Straupe Farmers’ Market, Straupe Hanseatic Market, and seasonally at the Cēsis Market.
