Antiques Museum “Fazāni”

“Fazāni” is a private antiques museum owned by Zigurds Safranovičs, housing around 50,000 objects, most of them donated by individuals. The museum and the owner’s engaging stories about the antiques, their uses, and how they arrived at the museum, can captivate visitors for several hours.

  • The museum has two sections:
    • the internal affairs system and its changes over time;
    • historical and more modern everyday objects.
  • The oldest and rarest item, according to legend, is a 300-year-old refrigerator belonging to Ernst Glück.
  • Guests can also enjoy tastings of food prepared over an open fire – barley porridge, solyanka soup, and uzpūtenis (mousse) (for groups of 20 or more).
  • The museum grounds form part of the former Baron von Wulf’s Bormaņi Manor Park, where overnight camping in tents is also possible.
