Midsummer Solstice Market in Ape
The Administration of Ape Parish invites home producers, artisans, and vendors to apply for participation in the Midsummer Solstice Market, which will take place on 21 June 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ape Open-Air Stage grounds.
This year, the festive market has been specially arranged in the open-air stage grounds, a place where the summer solstice intertwines with the melodies of traditional Līgo songs, the crackling of bonfires, and the magic of a midsummer evening.
While listening to the songs of the Jaunlaicene folklore group “Putnis”, visitors of the market will be able to leisurely shop for everything needed to create a memorable Midsummer celebration – delicacies for the festive table, seasonal produce, flowers, ornamental shrubs, seedlings, and carefully handcrafted items inspired by Latvian traditions. At 7:00 PM, everyone is invited to enjoy the theatre performance “Īsa pamācība mīlēšanā”.
Applications for participation in the Midsummer Solstice Market are open from 2 June 2026 until 12 June 2026 (included), or until the maximum number of vendors has been reached.
Further information and the application form are available in the “Gadatirgus” section of the Smiltene Municipality website.
