Smiltene Municipality Tourist Map – Now Available in a Pocket-Sized Format

The Entrepreneurship and Tourism Department of Smiltene Municipality has prepared a new edition of the Smiltene Municipality tourist map (currently available only in Latvian). Not only is the map available in the familiar brochure format this time, it is also in a new pocket-sized format that is easy to take along on hikes, cycling trips, excursions and other journeys exploring the municipality.

The new edition features updated information on tourist attractions and services, an expanded selection of dining and accommodation options, as well as new places of interest and active recreation opportunities in Smiltene Municipality. The map also provides information on natural attractions and trails, cultural and historical sites, local food producers, craftspeople and farms open to visitors throughout the municipality.

To make the map clear and easy to use, the attractions and services are organised into thematic categories and marked with colour-coded numbers. A key on the reverse side provides their names and contact details, allowing visitors to quickly find places of interest and plan their route with ease.

The new tourist maps will be available free of charge at the Smiltene Municipality Tourist Information Centre at Dārza Street 3 in Smiltene, the Ape Crafts House at Skolas Street 4 in Ape, the Rauna Parish Administration at Vidzemes Street 2 in Rauna, as well as at other tourist information points throughout the municipality.

We invite you to take the new tourist map with you and set out to discover Smiltene Municipality – enjoy its nature trails, explore cultural and historical sites, taste local delicacies and visit other tourist attractions throughout the municipality.
