On August 16, the “Bilska Sandwich” hike took place in Bilska Parish, drawing nearly 100 participants. The warm, sunny day was perfect for discovering the stories, natural treasures, and surroundings of the village of Bilska.

Hikers could choose between two routes: a short 4-kilometer loop or a long 19-kilometer loop that extended all the way to Zeltiņi and the BeTRITON amphibious bicycle demo park. Along the way, there was no shortage of interesting stories about local natural and cultural-historical landmarks.

At the end of the hike, participants visited the beekeeper Māris and gathered by Lake Bilska, where local residents had prepared some light refreshments.
