Very soon, on 26 September, one of the biggest events of the year in Smiltene Municipality will take place in Smiltene – the #BeActive Hike. Participants will be able to choose from four exciting routes: the “top!” long-distance route (28 km), the “Smiltenes Piens” medium-distance route (18 km), the “Ķelmēni” short-distance route (8 km), or the 8-kilometre Twilight Route “Mysterious Dens”, which will be especially suitable for families.

The day promises to be pleasantly tiring, so the Smiltene Municipality Tourism Information Centre recommends planning your overnight stay in the Smiltene area in advance, so that after the hike you will not have to make the journey home straight away.
