Even before the trees in Latvia have had a chance to dress in their golden autumn colours, bright seasonal shades have already arrived in the centre of Smiltene. In cooperation with the Smiltene City Municipal Services Department, an autumn photo spot has been created in the heart of the town, inviting visitors to stop, linger for a while and capture the autumn moments of Smiltene in photographs.

The photo spot has been decorated with pumpkins, corn, wooden crates and other autumn produce, creating a cosy setting for family and friends’ photos, as well as a beautiful snapshot from a visit to Smiltene. On Saturday, 19 September, it will add to the festive atmosphere of the Smiltene Autumn Market.

We also invite you to share your photos on social media by tagging the “Visit Smiltene” Facebook page and Instagram profile, and using the hashtag #SmiltenesNovadāSanāk.
