The hiking event “Drusti Manor Honey Beer” has taken place

On 21 June, the sixth hiking event “Drusti Manor Honey Beer” took place as part of the hiking series “Smiltene Municipality – a Place to Discover”, organised by the Smiltene Municipality Tourism Information Centre.

The hike participants came from Smiltene, Valmiera, Valka, Cēsis, Gulbene, Sigulda, Ādaži and even Kuldīga municipalities.

Participants could choose between 4 km and 18 km routes, walking either together as a group or individually. The hike began at Drusti Community Hall and led participants via Drusti Church, past Krogus Lake, Drusti Open-Air Stage and the Drusti Manor complex. Those walking the big loop also had the opportunity to visit Gatarta Manor and Briņģi Manor, as well as the guest house “Pļavnas”.

The small loop of the hike was guided by Ieva Miķe, Head of the Smiltene Municipality Museum at Mēri Manor, who also shared stories along the way. At the end of the hike, participants were treated to soup by the hosts of “Dzilnas Creative Homestead”.

We would like to thank everyone who contributed to organising the hike “Drusti Manor Medals”!

Both routes, “Drusti Small Loop” and “Drusti Big Loop”, are marked in nature and available at any time. More information and maps can be found in the “EXPERIENCE” section of the Smiltene Municipality tourism website: https://visit.smiltene.lv/…/pargajienu-marsruti-drustu…/
