We invite you to visit the BIRZĪ sparkling birch sap production plant!

BIRZĪ is a family business that has been boldly experimenting with birch sap, a drink beloved in Latvian traditions, for more than ten years. BIRZĪ has set itself the task of raising the value of this seemingly self-evident Latvian treasure, offering birch sap not only fresh or fermented but also sparkling, and flavoured with natural spices, evaporated to a syrup-like consistency, and transformed into an elegant balsam and a mild vodka!

Through its work, BIRZĪ honours Latvia’s miracle tree – the birch – embracing every gift it offers to people. And there truly are many! It is hard to imagine another tree that could compete. And we will tell you about all of it, show it to you, and let you taste it – right here at the BIRZĪ production plant!

The tour, lasting approximately 1.5 hours, includes tastings of various BIRZĪ products, a journey through the BIRZĪ production plant, video projections and photographs to visually enrich the story, a visit to the Sugar House, and a walk to the world’s first sap tree park. Only those tree species that provide edible sap in spring are planted in the park. Currently, the park hosts more than 300 trees and more than 30 tree species – various birches, maples, nut trees, and beeches. The park is open both for scientific purposes, such as studying trees and their sap, and for lectures and tours, and also simply serves as a well-maintained environmental site open to the public. By prior arrangement, during the tour, it is possible to plant a tree in the sap tree park and give it a name of your choice.

During warm weather, the tasting room can be rented for private events.
The space is suitable for up to 60 people.
