“Ride the Southern Hills” is a 40 km circular cycling route through the hilly landscapes of Launkalne Rural Territory.

• It is a local cycling route with route number 140.
• The route passes various natural and cultural-historical sites – Cērtene Hillfort, Launkalne Manor, the stone bridge over the River Ruņģupe, Vecsautiņi Springs, Raibais stabs (The Colourful Post) and more.
• Along the way, you can stop at the Open Farm “Zadiņi” to try unusual bikes, take a short walk and learn about unusual farming methods.
• The Private Collection of Antiques “Lejas Kleperi” showcases local historical artefacts – tools, toys, clothing, household items, and more.
• On the second half of the route, the Cider Brewery “Abuls” invites visitors to listen to stories about cider production, visit the facility and apple orchard, and purchase drinks to enjoy after the ride.
• The route is also suitable for a two-day trip: around halfway, it passes the recreation complex “Silmači”, offering accommodation, large sports and leisure grounds, a sauna, hot tub, and various water attractions.
