Demography bridge
From those times, special place still remains – a section of the old railway track of the little narrow-gauge train and a small bridge that crosses a tiny stream called Jašupīte. At first glance, it may look quite ordinary, but oh, how many do not know its secret power!
It is said that this bridge is a guardian of love and fertility, a bringer of growing families. According to legend: if a couple who truly love each other with all their hearts cross the bridge together – smiling, joking, and sharing plenty of kisses – then very soon, a little human being will arrive in their home – a baby, a true fruit of love.
The old tracks, which no longer carry trains, now lead people into a new stage of life. The waters of Jašupīte gently bubbling under the bridge seem to whisper: ““Yes, walk across without fear! A miracle is on its way.”
And so, the Ape Demography Bridge has become an unofficial site for a fertility ritual, where love, smiles, and the magic of the old railway tracks intertwine in a special legend.
