In Smiltene, within the scenic grounds of the New Park, a nine-hole disc golf course with varying levels of difficulty has been created. The course is particularly attractive due to the park’s natural terrain and large deciduous trees.

Facilities at Disc Golf Course “Abuls”:

• An overall course map with disc golf rules.
• Information signs at each hole.
• Temporary tee pads with artificial turf.
• Nine high-quality Innova Discatcher baskets.

Although the course only features nine baskets (half of a standard 18-hole course), it is an excellent addition for fans of active recreation in Smiltene. In the future, funding opportunities will be sought to develop nine additional holes, creating a full 18-hole course.
