Open-Air Stage and Recreation Area “Jeberleja”

The Jeberleja Open-Air Stage was built in the second half of the 20th century, modelled after an old threshing barn. Over the years, the stage and its surroundings have hosted a wide variety of cultural, sporting, and recreational events – open-air dance parties, theatre performances, celebrations, sports games, volleyball tournaments, and more. Locals say it was once one of the most acoustically impressive stages in Vidzeme. Today, the stage building is in critical condition and is no longer in use. In the past, a small sauna was located inside the stage building, from which it was possible to jump directly into the lake.
