On the right bank of the River Gauja, near Vireši, rise the Randāti Cliffs, which, since the flooding of the Daugava Valley, are considered the highest dolomite cliffs in Latvia, reaching a height of 26 metres. A nature trail with information boards and signposts has been created around the cliffs, introducing visitors to the area’s natural values.

• Trail length: 1.2 km
• Old dolomite quarries are located in the northern part of the cliffs.
• During the driest months of the year, it is possible to wade across the River Gauja and connect the Randāti Nature Trail with the Tilderi Nature Trail.

Important!

• The trail tends to flood during the spring thaw.
• The trail is not passable by bicycle or with a baby stroller.
• The trail involves climbing steep wooden stairs.
• Respect Latvia’s natural values and do not damage them!
