The Vizla arched bridge is located in Vireši Parish, near the village of Vidaga.

• It is considered the oldest dolomite arch bridge in Latvia, built around 1860 (though some sources date its construction to 1834).
• The bridge’s arch is constructed of dolomite, while fieldstones were used in the rest of the structure. It stands as a significant example of historic bridge construction in Latvia.
• The bridge remained in use for traffic until 2001, when the Velēna–Vireši road was reconstructed; the road was straightened, and a new bridge was built alongside the old one. Subsequently, the old Vizla bridge ceased to serve as a transport crossing and became primarily a site of cultural-historical and tourism interest.

The Vizla Nature Trail begins at the bridge, offering a chance to explore the Vizla River along its course to the confluence with the Gauja River within the “Ziemeļgauja” specially protected nature area.
